Jon Stewart On CNN’s ‘Monster Gaffe’

Jon Stewart

“As much as we criticize the media here on our show, and we are dicks … everyone had a little fun at CNN’s expense for their monster gaffe when they claimed an arrest had been made when in reality there had been no arrest.”

Stewart kicked off praising NBC for its reliable coverage, hammering Rupert Murdoch for the NYP fingering two guys who weren’t the terrorists and refusing to apologize, and CNN for John King’s confident report of an arrest.

Next April 1st let’s have Stewart switch jobs with King for 24 hours and see how each does. I’m guessing King can read snarky lines off a teleprompter fairly well. Do you think Stewart can dig up news stories?
