The media rumor mill fodder fed by Curry is false.  New CNN boss Jeff Zucker is not interested in hiring Ann Curry.  Buzz had it that Zucker was eyeing the NBC News muzzled anchoress for Erin Burnett‘s 8p slot.  Buzz that was probably planted by serial leaker Curry or surrogates.

Zucker has put the kibosh to Curry‘s  kissing up,  if you believe Friday’s UK Daily Mail Exclusive!

UK Daily Mail Exclusive!:  Ann Curry “is now entering a phase in her $10 million contract where she will be free to negotiate a move – with NBC chiefs also free to let her go.”

However, a source confirmed that while new CNN boss Jeff Zucker is a fan, he does not want to hire her, adding: “Jeff won’t pay $10 million for Ann.  There is a lot of resentment now at NBC that she had her moment, she had her pity party – but she’s taken things too far.”

“She needs to knuckle down, keep her head down and make some great TV.”

    I for one, liked Ann Curry.  .  I watch the Today every morning and have for years.  When they hired Meredith I was surprised Ann didn’t move to the lead spot.  I love her smooth velvet voice, her genuine care and concern for each and every person.  She was very pleasant to listen to and clearly very intelligent.   Then Meredith, funny, irreverant, very human Meredith  didn’t want to keep getting up so early.  That’s what she told them.  Her family was more important, they came first.  She would only do specials, part time stuff.  Then I thought they woke up and gave the Female Anchor Lead to Ms. Curry.  I was very happy with the Foursome in the a.m.  (Matt and Natalie, Ann and AlO) and the rest of the crew including Savannah Guthrie, anchor of hour #3 and chief legal correspondent.  I was shocked when they dumped Ann and put Savannah in her spot, giving Ann a big title and alot of busy work (well still good jobs).  It was very sad.  I think Savannah being the lawyer she is negotiated that spot for herself and Ann just got blindsighted.   That’s it…….I read some of the other comments and decided a legitamite one was needed.

      I think Matt Lauer didn’t like Ann and getting rid of her was in his new contract signed in the spring of 2012 before the whole Ann thing went down.
