The ex-LAPD  cop and triple killer admired George H.W. Bush.  From Christopher Dorner’s “manifesto” he mailed to CNN’s Anderson Cooper which Cooper claims he never saw until Thursday:

“They never give you enough credit for your successful Presidency. You were always one of my favorite Presidents (2nd favorite). I hope your health improves greatly. You are the epitome of an American and service to country.”

NYDN:  The unhinged killer also sent CNN anchor Anderson Cooper a package last week containing a DVD and a Post-it note reading, “I never lied,” the network said. The parcel additionally contained a bullet-riddled LAPD souvenir coin, one of thousands former L.A. Police Chief Bill Bratton handed out. Cooper said he didn’t know of the package’s existence until Thursday.

    Finally! We have the causal linkage between liberalism (actually, it’s Marxism) and unmitigated gun violence. It’s going to be fun watching this administration and the talking heads spin this one differently.

    On another note (and somewhat grisly at this point), private ownership of a couple of AR’s would have made quite a difference in the initial outcome.
