Book Closed On Benghazi: Obama, Hillary Skate

Heads roll, but not Hillary‘s.

U.S. Consulate Benghazi Libya

The “independent” panel conclusions fingering no specific people in authority but State Department security “systemic failures” came out the night before closed door testimony before congressional committees.  Washington Post.  Read the unclassified version of the report here which confirms there were no demonstrations.  The report has no mention of a video, but blames the conveniently dead ambassador.

“The Board found that Ambassador Stevens made the decision to travel to Benghazi independently of Washington, as per standard practice.  Timing for his trip was driven in part by commitments in Tripoli, as well as a staffing gap between principal officers in Benghazi.  Plans for the Ambassador’s trip provided for minimal close protection security support and were not shared thoroughly with the Embassy’s country team, who were not fully aware of the planned movements off compound.   The Ambassador did not see a direct threat of an attack of this nature and scale on the U.S. Mission in the overall negative trendline of security incidents from spring to summer 2012.  His status as the leading U.S. advocate on Libyan policy, and his expertise on Benghazi in particular, caused Washington to give unusual deference to his judgments.”

At first it was reported three Hillary State Department underlings had resigned. CNNCBS News.  Then four.  Now one resigned, three more “disciplined” and will be “reassigned” reports the  Washington Post.

A victimless crime – just like prostitution and abortion, simply fucking amazing.

      Read the report!

If I was a family member to Ambassador Stevens and I read that they placed the blame on Ambassador Stevens.  I be calling for a press conference and I would tear into the Obama Administration…  This absolutely bullshit!

    • Sentinel

I did read the “unclassified” version and all I can say is – BULLSHIT!  This report did its level best to obfuscate the culpability of anyone.  The few mentions of “senior leadership” lacking leadership is “intuitively obvious to the most casual observer” for the rest of us, but for the informationally challenged in this country, it leaves the real responsible persons unscathed.  From where I come from, “senior leadership” means the commander!  And just recently I’ve read that 3 mid-level bozos in the DOS have now resigned, no doubt the sacrificial lambs of this administration.

Several times in the report they laid blame at the feet of TDY personnel coming in and out of whatever mission they were running.  If memory serves me correctly, it was Her Excellency Hillary Rotten Clinton who didn’t want to use US Marines who have historically been Embassy Guards but rather rely on just a few security personnel with the bulk of security being Host Nation personnel.  More bullshit, especially in a country where you can’t tell friend from foe.

And one more point I’d like to make is AFRICOM’s involvement; specifically the launching of “TWO UN-ARMED” UAVs to “monitor” the situation along with the weak reasoning that no response could be timely dispatched to put some boots on the ground.  We all know AFRICOM was told to stand down from the top and the fact the second UAV was launched with no ordnance is a big operational no-no, especially when the operators know what’s going on.

This report was a rambling piece of shit starting with a fucking history lesson of Libya and ending up with no real definitive answers.  And the “classified version” probably has a “Review for Declassification” date of September 11, 3002.  You and I know who is responsible for this and I suspect the real mission and reason for this goat fuck has been covered up.

But the media are reporting the report’s contents as “scathing.”

You can’t catch those Clintons at anything.
    She had a great teacher.

    • Marty Davis

They and Obama make Ronald Reagan’s “Teflon” presidency appear as sticky as Crazy Glue.

  • Dcrlbr

I read the report.  And we expect the almighty US government to take over healthcare?  A report like this in private enterprise would result in wholesale firings, including the authors for doublespeak and failure to name names.  Where is the press??

    • Marty Davis

The press is up Obama’s rear.

  • John Cobb

It never fails, we always find a way to screw ourselves.

One red flag after another and they missed all of them, it’s as if everyone had their minds on something else.

Now let’s see, the FBI should be able to find these guys, after all they found out the head of CIA was screwing around, so…maybe they need some it is guys..

The bad boys of Benghazi …. live down the street from the compound, go to gate CI…travel east 300 meters.. and you’re there, it’s the big compound with all the shell casings laying around.

    That was easy!!!

  • Jimbotalk

Well, I’m glad that’s all cleared up.
